In honoring a mother who deserved better, we chose to build something lasting — a foundation where no mother or child faces those barriers alone.

Our Story

Born from a Mother’s Story — Built for Every Child’s Future

MCEHF was founded in 2016 inspired by the story of a mother who faced inadequate healthcare, limited education, and systemic neglect — challenges that no family should navigate without support. Her journey became the seed of a movement.

From a small grassroots initiative, MCEHF has grown into a registered U.S. nonprofit reaching over 60 children and 50 mothers through educational programs, quarterly health screenings, and community-built care networks across Cameroon.

    MCEHF established as a U.S. registered nonprofit.

    First Programs

    Launched school supply distribution and maternal health outreach.

  3. 2020

    Growing Impact

    Expanded quarterly screenings; reached 50+ mothers in communities.

    Learning Center

    Launched our Early Childhood Learning Center, extending nurturing childcare to working families.

Our Roots

Rooted in Philadelphia. Born from Tragedy in Cameroon.

Our work serves families right here in Philadelphia — providing resources, awareness, and community support to mothers and children who need it most.

But MCEHF was born following a tragedy that took place in Cameroon. A mother was denied critical medical care — and she did not survive. From that loss, our founder resolved that no mother or child should ever face these barriers alone.
